About Bvlgari
With a famous name and logo that instantly conjure images of luxury and style, Bulgari, also known as Bvlgari, is well known throughout the world for being a quality watch manufacturer, one of the world leaders in both classic and modern designs that last the test of time. Bulgari was founded in the Italian capital city Rome and named by Sotirios Bulgari in 1884. The company has always been very much a family affair and Bulgari's sons Costantino and Giorgio opened the first retail store in 1905. Incredibly, the premiere Bulgari store remains today in its original location, a true testament to the family’s traditional values and strong foundations. Customers were enchanted by the uniquely designed and crafted jewelry and were soon flocking to the store from around the globe. Bulgari's fine attention to detail and unique style quickly led to international success. |

In the 1970s the company was able to open international stores in cities known for their good taste such as Paris, New York, Geneva and Monte Carlo and presently have more than 150 stores scattered around the globe. Perhaps one of the things that makes Bulgari popular is its distinctive and timeless logo, which is a thing of beauty in itself and sets the tone of the company. Continuing the company's strong family traditions, Sotirios Bulgari's grandsons Paolo and Nicola were made Chairman and Vice-Chairman in 1984, whilst nephew Francesco Trapani became the company CEO. Although still infamous in the world of jewelry, Bulgari has also launched a range of other successful products such as handbags, accessories, fragrances and cologne. Bvlgari Parfums was established in Switzerland in the 1990s and became an instant success, proving that the company's flawless style can work in any medium. |
